Abstract: Abstract: To overcome the shortcomings of the optimal selection methods of coal mine site schemes used today, a new method, named projection pursuit (PP) model was presented. The evaluation index values of each scheme synthesized projection value with one dimension which indicates advantage of each scheme, and the scheme samples can be optimized to select according to the projection value of each scheme. The improved ant colony algorithm was employed to predigest the realized process of projection pursuit technique. Engineering practice shows that the model can realize the simple, objective and feasible selection. This work has significance for the decision making of the coal mine engineering and other engineering.
