Abstract: Abstract: The quantitative description on project risk analysis is the assumption of project risk management. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation by matter-element model serve as a tool providing us a way to assess the risk. This article introduces the basic theory of Fuzzy-Matter Element assessment method. The common steps of project risk assessment method based on Fuzzy-Matter Element were put forward, and this method was applied to an actual construction risk assessment. From the owner’s point of view, taking Chongqing caiyuanba bridge construction project as an example, the practical analysis has proved that this method is preferable and feasible and provided an effective method in the risk management.
