Abstract: Abstract: Constructability is a process that optimizes the construction operation and helps to improve quality, ensure safety, improve labor productivity, shorten the schedule and reduce rework. Design stage is a crucial stage in EPC project. The introduction of constructability in design phase plays an important role in lowering investment and enhancing its industrial competitiveness. This paper analyzes the necessity of introduction of constructability in EPC project, and summarizes the domestic and international research on constructability in recent years. At last, it proposes implementation strategy of constructability in EPC project and draws tables of operational procedures of constructability.
