Abstract: Abstract: This paper examines the influence of China outward foreign direct investment over input and output of domestic technological innovation employing data of China outward foreign direct investment from 1987 to 2008. It resorts to cointegration analysis to explore the balance among outward foreign direct investment, FDI, import and export as well as domestic R&D and patent grant. It is found that outward foreign direct investment has positive influence over domestic technological innovation but the effect is not significant, whereas import and export have evident influence over domestic technological innovation.
