Abstract: Abstract: This thesis summarizes that the location decision factors to Chinese manufacturing enterprises engaged in Technology Sourcing FDI include economy development level, science research environment, human capital and industrial clustering level of host country. Based on the panel date of our manufacturing enterprises’ TSFDI to 13 developed countries from 1996 to 2005, the result of empirical research shows that the per capita GDP, patent amount per thousand people, the proportion of high-tech product exportation to manufactured goods exportation and the cumulative amount of FDI in host country are the most important location decision factors, while the proportion of R&D to GNP, the amount of scientists and engineers per million people, the average wage level of manufacturing industry and the output of manufacturing industry in host country are not the significant location decision factors.
