Abstract: Abstract:“Psychological contract" theory is a new theory emerged in recent years in studies of western organizational behavior and human resources management. Psychological contract theory problems involved are common problems of all organizations. With china's reality for SMEs, the conduct extensive investigation and research to the psychological contract of knowledge worker will undoubtedly have important practical significance and great theoretical significance. Through a questionnaire survey on status of the psychological contract of knowledge workers for more than 30 SMEs in Yantai, the paper summarizes the characteristics of individual psychological contract of knowledge worker. And combination of motivation theory, it built up a motivation model of knowledge workers on based psychological contract. Finally, it has put forward motivation strategies of knowledge worker based on the psychological contract for SMEs.
