Abstract: Abstract: Organizational Politics (OP) refers to the influential activities organizational members resort to in order to maximize their interests and goals in the work place. This paper has two main objectives: to review major studies which discussed OP within the organization and to use a case study of Ghana Telecom (GT) to study the effect of politics on innovation management that lead to Ghana Telecom becoming bankrupt. Secondary data was used for the study. The study revealed that politics within GT was as a result of promotion, low trust among employees and management, role ambiguity and high pressures for performance.
