Abstract: Abstract: The development of enterprises is similar to organism. Enterprises also have life cycle phenomena and they must go through a low-level to advanced, simple to complex and naive to mature process. Studies have shown some conclusions which can be summarized as follows: enterprises at the survival stage mainly depend on the ability to compete for their lack of resources. Enterprises at the growing stage are full of resources and rely on their resources and capacities of competing. Mature enterprises also have abundant resources but their capacities of competing begin to diminish at the recession stage enterprises return to rely on the ability to compete while their learning, innovation and dynamic mechanism are worst, which will affect business revolution, or even result in the death of business. In this paper, a questionnaire is used to analyze the characteristics of life cycle at different stages. Some strategic models are proposed to guide the construction of Chinese enterprises.
