Abstract: Abstract: Landslide risk management is an effective way to reduce or prevent landslide disasters and is suggested by most scholars. The objects of landslide prediction mainly include landslide occurrence location, time and its run-out. The public concerned about the disaster loss (risk) more than its occurrence. Although risk pre-warning is not a fresh concepts on social science, there still no special research on landslide risk pre-warning. This paper distinguished the similar concepts about prediction, then conclude the landslide risk pre-warning concept. After analyze its characters, the pre-warning principle and the method and pre-warning steps were listed out by author. Finally, some cautions on landslide risk pre-warning were given.
