Abstract: Abstract: Indoor air quality (IAQ) in air-conditioned train compartment is important for passenger thermal comfort. According to existing conditions of the present railway air-conditioned trains, the factors affecting passenger train air-conditioning quality were analyzed, and the evaluation methods of IAQ were introduced, Some suggestions for how to improve IAQ in trains were put forward. The results show that air quality in air-conditioned trains is not good, the main reason lies in that outdoor air quantity shortage, unreasonable air distribution and travelers of the environment consciousness lack. These studies will provide a guideline for improving the thermal comfort and IAQ in passenger trains.
