Abstract: Abstract: The decomposing method is applied to the quantitative analysis of the effects of four factors on CO2 emission for Jiangsu, i.e., the scale of economy, structural change, technical progress and energy consumption structure, obtained its corresponding influencing coefficient. The results concluded that the economy scale effect was in a dominant status, and the structural change effect showed an increasing trend with volatility; technical progress and energy consumption structure have hindrance function to CO2 emission. Further study indicated that the high-resource-dependent industrial structure and its investment effect advanced CO2 emission, the structural change show weakening effect. Finally, the paper gives some policy suggestions about adjusting industrial structure, technical progress and low-Carbon Economy, etc.
