Abstract: Abstract: The improvement of transportation could promote regional accessibility and influence the regional value of land, population flow, etc. Finally, transportation will have effect on area spatial distribution. This thesis will do spatial data analysis with GWR model to analyze the influence of Beijing-Shanghai railway on regional spatial distribution. The results indicate that the influences from passenger transport and freight transport are significant different. The passenger transport has greater impact on area spatial distribution. Meanwhile, the influences on Beijing and Shanghai also show different trends. With the change of passenger transport scale, the regional spatial distribution is input and standstill in Beijing, but output and dispersed in Shanghai.
