Abstract: A production line planning method based on modularization with the idea of modularization design is proposed. In this method, the reconfigurable cells are regarded as the basic modules of production line. Through adding, deleting and adjusting the basic modules, the processing capability of the cells and the whole production line can easily be changed. With the multi-agent control system, the mutual independency of the control system and the real configuration of production line and its cells can be ensured, thus the rapid construction the production line can be realized.
