Abstract: Abstract: Environmental management (EM) quantitative approaches in construction are becoming a focus of the studies on construction project management because environmental issues in construction industry attract more and more attention. In this paper, five main useful EM quantitative methods in construction are reviewed, which are CPI, DPL, IRP, Webfill and E+. Then, discussions are implemented to express their advantages and disadvantages. Finally, comparisons between them are conducted from three aspects that are construction stage, object of approach and computer-related technology. Through discussions and comparisons, it is concluded that the EM quantitative methods in construction should focus on the full life-cycle management and the whole construction process management for EM in construction by utilizing the information technologies in order to minimize the impact of a construction project on the environment.
