Abstract: Coal gangue is a solid waste of coal industry, and its piles can cause surrounding farming soil polluted by harmful microelements, the pollutants would be concentrated by plants and finally endanger human’s health through the food chain. Thus research on influence of harmful microelements contained in coal gangue to human health is important and signification. The pollution of gangue hills and its approach were presented in this paper. And the impact of the harmful microelements on human health was expounded. Finally, this paper discussed the method of the risk analysis and management for gangue hills.
