Abstract: The algorithm for image edge detection based on wavelet transform is getting more and more application in image feature detection. With analyzing the disadvantages of traditional algorithms, image enhancement and refinement algorithms are improved in this thesis. Wavelet-based multi-level enhancement algorithm is selected to enhance the image of embryonate eggs, and then the main blood-vessels are extracted by image segmentation. Secondly, a fast thinning and thinning restoration algorithm are applied to thin images for removing burr which is suitable for egg embryo bloodshot detailed graphics. Finally, determine the activity algorithm through the number of blood vessel. Form the comparison of other algorithms, apparently, the presented method is robust and efficient, moreover, it is not sensitive to noise and the color of egg shell, or the pollution on the eggshell. The method meets the needs of both detection of accuracy rate and executive speed in mass production.
