Abstract: In order to meet equipment readiness and unit movement requirements during missions and reduce spare support footprint, this paper establishes optimization models of operational availability and spare support footprint, and gives the models solution methods by applying margin utility considering spare parts importance, meets the operational availability requirements of armored equipment. The feasibility of this method is testified though example analysis.
