Abstract: In this paper, the causes for production of noise uncertainty are discussed; the impact on performance of energy detector is researched. To deal with the problem, we propose a new cooperating sensing method using double threshold energy detection technique for cognitive radio. Theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that this strategy can improve the spectrum detection probability significantly.
