Abstract: A hybrid algorithm for determination of water quality parameter based on ant colony optimization (ACO) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed. The fast convergence of PSO and the positive feedback mechanism of ant colony algorithm are used. Simulation results show that the proposed method is correct, effective and predominant. Finally, some problems for further research were put forward.
