Abstract: Software reuse is generally recognized as providing a great opportunity for reducing costs. Functional Size Measurement (FSM) is supposed to be a suitable approach for early size metrics from the users’ perspective by measuring the amount of functionality to be delivered. This paper analyzed reuse measurement within the Requirements Analysis Process based on IFPUG Function Point Analysis (IFPUG FPA). Firstly, the mapping rules between IFPUG FPA and Requirements Model are summarized. And then, the functional reuse indicator was proposed. Specially, the method of identifying and quantifying the reused requirements were presented based on OO-Method Requirements Model. Finally, we illustrate the application of our proposal in a case study of On-line Bookstore system.
