Abstract: Image scrambling is a valuable method for image encryption. An image pixel values scrambling algorithm based on sudoku grids matrix is presented in this paper. The main idea of this method is that the 24 bit sequence of image pixel is rearranged by using the numeric of sudoku’s line, row and block. The proposed method has a large key space and various mapping mode which shows efficient anti-crack property. The experimental result proves that fine scrambling effect can be reached after 1or 2 operation of the proposed method. Also, the histogram of scrambled image is extremely similar to gaussian distribution, which shows strong anti-attack property.
