Abstract: The plant development information would be extracted and reconstructed for simulating plant growth process on computer. Experimenting on the tree, it can process the video images consisting of plant development information to be some key frames, and it can also extract the features related to plant topologic structure and organ morphology. In addition, this paper proposes a algorithm to reconstruct the plant topology change process. With reconstruction of the plant growth process under the developing tool of 3DMAX, it demonstrates that the method is feasible and valuable when constructing the plant growth model, which also illustrates that it can simulate the process of plant development.
