Abstract: This article introduces software techniques of computer for developing LED message board effectively. It is convenient to depict, interpret and extend communication protocol by introducing protocol tree. Software exception induced by communication buffer overflowing is avoided via resorting circular buffer. Double buffer for display not only simplifies programs of display frame but also enhances portability of the code. Main architecture being based upon priority makes important tasks activate frequently. Efficiency of developing and stability of running could be enhanced by applying these methods.
