Abstract: Considering the non compatible feature between the single recognitions and grade division as well as the complexity of the optical cable line evaluation, the method of matter element analysis was applied in the reliability evaluation of electric power optical cable line in this paper. First of all, matter-element model was founded and the weight of every index was assigned by the uncertain AHP and matter-element theory. Correlation degree was calculated using primary correlation function, and then synthetical relational degree was gained by using composition operations of correlation degree and weight. Finally, the reliability of electric power optical cable line was recognized based on the value of synthetical relational degree. The analysis of an example shows that the feasibility of using the method in electric power optical cable line reliability assessment.
