Abstract: As two main driven method of Permanent Magnet motor, sinusoidal driven and trapezoidal driven have formed their own control ideology. However, the torque ripple by trapezoidal driven is comparatively large and the moment by sinusoidal driven is small, both them can not fulfill the demand of high-power actuators in aviation. To resolve this problem, this paper proposes a unique compound driven system which combined the predominance of the two driven method. The controlling object is the Permanent Magnet Brushless motor, which is the main executing part of Electro-mechanical Actuators (EMA) in aviation. In this system, the motor starts under sinusoidal driven and switches to trapezoidal driven in high speed. The emulation results shows that this method can effectively reduce torque ripple in low-speed and enhance efficiency of the motor in high-speed because of the large moment of trapezoidal driven, the method provides a consultable new ideology for the high precision and high efficiency control of PM motor used in aviation.
