Abstract: |
To obtain a better understanding of AODV, DSR and OLSR routing protocols used in a mobile Ad hoc network (MANET), different performances were simulated and analyzed under the various load conditions using OPNET modeler 14.5, such as PDR (packet delivery ratio), end-to-end delay and routing overhead. As a conclusion, in static analysis, the routing overhead of OLSR is affected by number of nodes, but not data traffic. In AODV routing protocol, it is affected by both data traffic and number of nodes but not DSR case, which shows much better performance than others. In mobility analysis, routing overhead is not greatly affected by mobility speed in AODV and OLSR, but DSR depicts more affect than others in PDR and delay, and the PDR of AODV is not changed too much. As to delay, OLSR is always lower than others in both static and mobility cases.
