Abstract: For the purpose of detecting the degree to which the spinneret hole is blocked, a new edge detection algorithm is put forward in this paper following the fourier transformation of spinneret hole image at first, then a more suitable and updated Pal fuzzy edge algorithm, at last, the comparison of results of various algorithms. The edge detection quality has been greatly improved with the application of the new algorithm which is much more efficient, practicable and worthy of a wide range of applications.
