Abstract: The conventional ontology building methods are in a low efficiency and difficult in reusing, so they can hardly satisfy our needs. Toward this end, a growing body of work is emerging in the area of modular ontologies where the emphasis is on extracting and managing “modules” of an ontology relevant to a particular application scenario (ontology decomposition). This paper tried to introduce modularization into the ontology model of Aerodrome Tower Control (TWC) domain ontology. The domain ontology is made up of several modules. In this way, it will be convenience for the ontology construction, and helped to realize knowledge sharing, reusing and maintenance of ontology.
