Abstract: This paper studied the performance evaluation index of the adsorbent used in adsorption refrigeration. Experiments and studies show that two kinds of commonly used indexes maximum adsorption capacity and adsorption rate are some problem in practice. Maximum adsorption capacity can not reflect the particle size and shape of the adsorbent, as well as the differences of diffused channel within sorbent, and it has longer test cycle. Although adsorption rate can accurately reflect the particle size and shape of the adsorbent, and the differences of diffused channel within sorbent, the measurement results are usually in the form of the chart, curve. So the index is not suitable for large-scale data processing and can not guarantee the accuracy of the discrimination. The evaluation index this article presented is based on adsorption rate, and is quantified results using of the weighted evaluation method. The Experimental results indicated that the index can reflect adsorption rate differences of the adsorbent sample, and the test time can be reduced to 30min.
