According to some researches, it is showed that a key feature of practical application for the Internet of Things is to ensure the reliability of data when data are being transferred. However, there is also some characteristics for communication links of wireless sensor network at present, such as high loss rate and non-symmetry and so on, which can not meet the reliability requirements of application for the Internet of Things. So a new routing metric algorithm of wireless sensor networks is proposed in this paper, the algorithm is designed on the basis of reliability of the Internet of Things. Then the algorithm is evaluated by simulating about application of AODV protocol. Finally, the simulation results show that the algorithm has a certain energy efficiency and reliability by performance analysis of algorithm. Thus it may provide a theoretical reference to design efficient routing protocol of wireless sensor networks for the Internet of Things.
