Abstract: According to the comparison and analysis of methods to reduce the variances in Monte-Carlo simulation, this paper has given a concrete method suitable for Bayesian network inference algorithm for time-sequence simulation to reduce variances. The new method uses Importance Sampling to decrease significantly simulation times and computation time and enhance the convergence and practicality of Bayesian network inference algorithm for time-sequence simulation. Test results from IEEE RTS test system have shown that this new method is effective and feasible.
