ABSTRACT

Language is an important symbol that distinguishes humans and animals. The first language refers to the first language a child contacts and acquires after birth, and a person’s first language is usually his mother tongue. However, as we all know, the second language acquisition is much more difficult than the first language acquisition due to the influence of many factors such as biology, cognition, psychology, environment and so on. The study found that the first language has a significant impact on the learning of the second language. Therefore, based on previous experience, this paper analyzes the first language acquisition and the second language acquisition by focusing on factors such as learning stage, social environment, language processing, and first language transfer.
