Entry and Mobility in Technical and Vocational Education in Burundi

ABSTRACT

Burundi is bound to the 4th Sustainable Development Goal which insists on the quality of education that guides development. This article aims to analyze the way Burundi implements this goal in the area of technical and vocational with a strong eye to continuity of education. We used the documentary to inquire about different programs’ curricula. Results are that the technical and vocational education in Burundi is set in seven phases that are: 1) On-the-job training, 2) Handicraft training, 3) Vocational training, 4) Vocational education, 5) Professional internship, 6) Level I technical and vocational training, and 7) Level II technical and vocational training.
