ABSTRACT

China’s 56 ethnic groups carry a rich culture with a long history. The Han culture is vast, while the minority culture is unique and charming. In the 21st century, Chinese cities have frequent cultural transmission and intensive cultural exchanges. The exchange between Han culture and minority culture affects the cultural connotation of ethnic areas, and then affects the architectural form of ethnic areas. Taking Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province as an example, and based on the theory of cultural circle, core and edge, this paper analyzes the changes in the specific material form and cultural symbol form of regional architecture in the Yi region in the process of cultural transmission, which are produced by the integration and exchange of other ethnic cultures, mainly the Han nationality, and strives to innovate and integrate traditional ethnic culture and new modern technology under the background of the Chinese national community, to preserve and develop China’s excellent national culture.
