Special Issue on Chinese Society and Cultural Studies

Chinese Society and Cultural Studies examines the historical development, social structures, cultural practices, intellectual traditions, and contemporary transformations of Chinese communities and institutions. It considers subjects such as family and kinship, education, religion and belief, language, literature, popular culture, social values, migration, urbanization, regional diversity, and changing patterns of everyday life. The topic also encourages research into the interactions between tradition and modernity, local identities and globalization, as well as the ways in which economic, demographic, technological, and cultural changes are reshaping Chinese society in different historical and geographical contexts.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Chinese Society and Cultural Studies. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
