Special Issue on Indo-US International Workshop on Nanosensor Science & Technology

The Indo-US International workshop on Nanosensor Science & Technology is being organized under the auspices of National Institute of Science & Technology (NIST), India and US Navy ONR Global, USA during the period 27th February – 1st March 2013 at NIST, Berhampur, India. The Indian convener is Prof. S. N. Sahu from NIST and the USA convener is Dr. B. Ratna, NRL, USA. The Co-convenors from (NIST) Indian side are Prof. S. Tripathy and Prof. A. K. Padhi and from the US side Dr. B. B. Rath, NRL, USA.

This workshop on Nanosensor Science & Technology aims at bringing together multidisciplinary scientists to focus on the upcoming areas of Nanosensor Science and Technology and to understand fundamental issues of nanosensors. The goal is to foster a bridge across various disciplines to the growth of nanosensors by sharing the ideas, expertise and to promote new collaborative joint projects between Indian and USA scientists as well as scientists from other countries. Exploration of Nanosensor Science and Technology is expected to enrich our fundamental understanding and application of nanosensor technology specifically to industry, defense, medical, and on the whole the well being of the society.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring nanosensors. Potential research topics of this workshop include, but are not limited to:

  • Chemical/gas nanosensors based on metal oxides
  • Q.dots, nanocomposites, nanotubes, biosensors based on metal/Q.dot nanoparticles
  • Nanosensors based on porous Si
  • Nanosensors for medical diagnosis
  • Nanosensors for explosive and radiation detection and food security
  • Synthetic nanosensors, and nanosensors for space and defense application

Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field Special Issue - Indo-US International Workshop on Nanosensor Science & Technology should be chosen during your submission.
