Special Issue on Mesoporous Nanomaterials
A mesoporous material is a material containing pores with
diameters between 2 and 50 nm. According to the IUPAC, a mesoporous material
can be disordered or ordered in a mesostructure. The porosity should have a
specific impact on the material properties or application. Interest in
mesoporous materials is fostered by their widespread technological application
in diverse areas, such as heterogeneous catalysis, gas sensors, solid
electrolytes for rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors or optoelectronic and
magnetic devices, amongst others. With a pore size of 2–50 nm, tunable pore topologies and extremely large surface areas,
mesoporous materials hold a privileged position between zeolites and macroporous
materials.
In this special issue, we intend to invite
front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review
articles on exploring Mesoporous Nanomaterials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
