Special Issue on Surface and Interface of Materials  

Surfaces and Interfaces play an essential role in virtually all materials and devices. They are widely recognized as key elements in materials process of primary important in the health, energy, electronics, and environmental sectors. With the decrease in size and increase in complexity of materials this already highly interdisciplinary field is now becoming ever more integrated. This special issue will be focused on studying surfaces and interfaces of materials and their applications.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring surface and interface of materials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to: 

• Techniques for surface and interface characterization
• Role of surfaces and interfaces in catalysis
• Friction at surfaces
• Process for synthesis of catalytic materials (Plasma-based processes, Physical vapor deposition, etc.)
• Dynamics at surfaces and interfaces of materials
• Application of surface and interface of materials (Medicine, Biotechnology, Chemistry, etc.)
• Analysis of surface and interface
