Special Issue on Mineral Nutrients in Plants
Mineral nutrients are the chemical elements required by living organisms, other than the four elements carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen present in common organic molecules. Plants absorb dissolved minerals in soils. The minerals can be divided into two parts (major minerals and trace minerals) according to the contents in the plants. Both of them are necessary for life of plants. For example, Magnesium (Mg) element is the components of chlorophyll, and the potassium (K), iron (Fe), and manganese (Mn) are needed in the formation of chlorophyll even though they are not a part of the chlorophyll molecule in its final form. However, the total numbers of minerals that are absolutely needed is not known for any organism.
The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Mineral Nutrients in Plants.
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission, Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Paper Submission System.
