Special Issue on
Radiation Therapy in the Treatment of Cancer
Radiation Therapy plays an important role in the treatment of cancer. Some of the external beam radiation therapy techniques include 3D conformation therapy (3DCRT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric intensity modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and proton therapy. The main goal of radiation therapy is to deliver a conformal radiation dose distribution to the target while minimizing the dose to the organs at risk (OARs). However, dose distribution depends on several factors such as treatment planning methods, radiation delivery techniques, and dose calculation algorithms employed in treatment planning systems (TPS).
In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to contribute original research and review articles that explore radiation therapy in the treatment of cancer.
Authors should read over the journal’s Authors’ Guidelines carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue’’ under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue - Radiation Therapy in the Treatment of Cancer” should be chosen during your submission.
