Special Issue on Atmospheric Physics Research

Atmospheric physics is a branch of atmospheric science that studies the physical phenomena, physical processes and the laws of evolution in the atmosphere. Atmospheric physics, by detecting the characteristic parameters of atmosphere and revealing the physical essence of atmospheric phenomena, makes weather forecast, climate change prediction, aviation weather guarantee and weather modification constantly improve, and promotes the progress and development of human society. How to further understand the fine structure of the atmosphere, give an insight into the evolution of the atmosphere in three-dimensional space, and effectively utilize, properly protect and continuously make improvement of the atmospheric environment is a long-term important task of atmospheric physics.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring atmospheric physics research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Atmospheric composition and atmospheric stratification
    • Atmospheric statics
    • Atmospheric thermodynamics
    • Atmospheric radiation
    • Cloud physics and aerosol
    • Lightning physics and lightning detection
    • Atmospheric turbulence
    • Atmospheric boundary layer physics
    • Radar meteorology
    • Atmospheric optics

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Atmospheric Physics Research” should be chosen during your submission.
