Special Issue on Transforming Growth Factor

Transforming Growth Factor (TGF) is used to describe two classes of polypeptide growth factors, TGF-α and TGF-β. TGF-α is up regulated in some human cancers, it is produced in macrophages, brain cells, and keratinocytes, and induces epithelial development. TGF-β exists in three known subtypes in humans, TGF-β1, TGF-β2, and TGF-β3. These are up regulated in Marfan's syndrome and some human cancers, and play crucial roles in tissue regeneration, cell differentiation, embryonic development, and regulation of the immune system. Isoforms of transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β1) are also thought to be involved in the pathogenesis of pre-eclampsia. TGF-β receptors are single pass serine / threonine kinase receptors.

In this special issue, we are going to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Transforming Growth Factor. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

l   TGF-β super family

l   Bone morphogenetic protein (BMPs)

l   TGF-β signaling pathway

l   Transforming growth factor function

l   Transforming growth factor receptor

l   TGF and disease

l   Transforming growth factor and cancer

l   Transforming growth factor molecular mechanism

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at Authors’ Guidelines. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at Paper Submission System.

Acording to the following timetable:

Submission Deadline
