    Special Issue on Mycotoxin Research


    A mycotoxin is a toxic secondary metabolite produced by organisms of the fungus kingdomand is capable of causing disease and death in both humans and other animals. The term 'mycotoxin' is usually reserved for the toxic chemical products produced by fungi that readily colonize crops.


    In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on mycotoxin research. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

    • Mycotoxin formation
    • Aflatoxins and health effects
    • Citrinin in foodstuffs
    • Toxin and human disease
    • Fusarium toxins
    • Endotoxin
    • Cytotoxicity
    • Metabolism and toxicology
    • Removal and regulations of mycotoxin

    Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.


    Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Mycotoxin Research” should be chosen during your submission.
