Special Issue on Adsorption Science and
Technology
Adsorption refers to the attachment of atoms, ions, or molecules to a
certain surface of a gas, a liquid, or a dissolved solid. Similar to the
surface tension, adsorption is the result of surface energy. The exact nature
of adhesion depends on the details of the species involved, but the process of
adsorption is generally divided into physical adsorption and chemical
adsorption. Chemical adsorption is caused by the action of chemical bonds.
Physical adsorption is an adsorption produced by interaction of intermolecular
forces. Physical adsorption and chemical adsorption are not isolated, often
associated with each other. Adsorption is present in many natural physical,
biological, and chemical systems and is an essential unit operation in the
industrial applications such as catalysis, decolorization, deodorization and
antivirus.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on
exploring adsorption science and technology.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
-
Adsorption separation technology
-
Adsorbents
research
-
Adsorption and
desorption
-
Adsorption
equipment
-
Chemical
adsorption
-
Physical

-
Application of adsorption
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Adsorption Science
and Technology” should be chosen during your submission.
