Special Issue on Material Fatigue and Fracture

Material fatigue is a phenomenon where structures fail when subjected to a cyclic load. This type of structural damage occurs even when the experienced stress range is far below the static material strength. Fatigue is the most common source behind failures of mechanical structures. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of material fatigue and fracture.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore Material Fatigue and Fracture. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Fatigue limit algorithm
  • Mechanisms of material fatigue and fracture
  • Corrosion fatigue and fracture
  • Fatigue analysis
  • Low- and high-cycle fatigue
  • Design against fatigue

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Material Fatigue and Fracture” should be selected during your submission.
