Special Issue on Clinical Microbiology
Clinical microbiology is
with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. In
addition, this field of science studies various clinical applications of
microbes for the improvement of health. There are four kinds of microorganisms
that cause infectious disease: bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses, and one
type of infectious protein called prion. A
medical microbiologist studies the characteristics of pathogens, their modes of
transmission, mechanisms of infection and growth.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers
and authors to submit original research and review articles on clinical microbiology. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Causes and transmission, treatments
-
Microbial culture
-
Diagnostic tests
-
Infectious diseases
-
Clinical pathology
-
Antimicrobial drugs
-
Immune response
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Clinical Microbiology”
should be chosen during your submission.
