Special Issue on Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics
Atomic, molecular, and optical physics (AMO) is the study of matter-matter and light-matter interactions; at the scale
of one or a few atoms and energy scales around several electron volts. The
three areas are closely interrelated. AMO theory includes classical,
semi-classical and quantum treatments. Typically, the theory and applications
of emission, absorption, scattering of electromagnetic radiation (light) from
excited atoms and molecules, analysis of spectroscopy, generation of lasers and
masers, and the optical properties of matter in general, fall into these
categories.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line
researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on atomic, molecular, and optical physics. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to:
-
Atomic physics
-
Optical and laser physics
-
Atomic and molecular collisions
-
Quantum matter
-
Light-matter interactions
-
Isolated atoms and molecules
Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective
authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through
the journal’s Paper Submission System.
Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue”
under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field
“Special Issue – Atomic,
Molecular, and Optical Physics” should be chosen during your submission.
