Special Issue on Conservation of Biodiversity

Biodiversity refers to the ecological complex consisted of organisms (animals, plants and microorganisms) and environment, and a variety of ecological processes associated with it. It is the foundation for the sustainable development of economy and society, and the guarantee of ecological security and food security. According to the research by the World Wildlife Fund in 2014, earth has lost 52 percent of its biodiversity from 1970. It is predicted that around 25 percent of the mammal species could be extinct in 20 years. Therefore, the long-term perspective in biodiversity conservation is needed for all over the world.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original researches and review articles on exploring conservation of biodiversity. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Biodiversity and ecosystem services
  • Assessment of biodiversity
  • Urban biodiversity conservation
  • Forest biodiversity conservation
  • Freshwater biodiversity conservation
  • Agriculture and biodiversity conservation
  • Challenges of biodiversity conservation
  • Planning for biodiversity conservation

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly notice that the “Special Issue” under your manuscript title is supposed to be specified and the research field “Special Issue – Conservation of Biodiversity” should be chosen during your submission.
