Special Issue on Aerodynamics and Its Applications

Aerodynamics is the study of forces and the resulting motion of objects through the air. Studying the motion of air around an object allows us to measure the forces of lift, which allows an aircraft to overcome gravity, and drag, which is the resistance an aircraft “feels” as it moves through the air. Everything moving through the air (including airplanes, rockets, and birds) is affected by aerodynamics.  The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in this area of aerodynamics and its applications.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore aerodynamics and its applications. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Aerodynamic drag
• Aerodynamics of aircraft
• Aerodynamics of automobiles
• Incompressible aerodynamics
• Compressible aerodynamics
• Aerodynamic design
• Aerodynamic and aerostructural optimization
• Aerodynamics in other fields

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.
