Special Issue on Flowers and Pollen

Plants with flowers need pollination to create new seeds that will grow into new plants. The flower of a plant is usually where reproduction occurs, so without pollination a flower cannot reproduce. Of the 300,000 plant species on this planet that produce pollen, each type makes pollen unique only to that plant.  As one of the most important and timely research fields of life science, flowers and pollen is of great attraction to researchers.

In this special issue, we invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles that explore flowers and pollen. In this special issue, potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Flowers, pollen and allergies
  • The structure and formation of pollen
  • Pollen source
  • Palynology
  • Nutritional value of pollen
  • Pollination

Authors should read over the journal’s For Authors carefully before submission. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal’s Paper Submission System.

Please kindly specify the Special Issue” under your manuscript title. The research field “Special Issue - Flowers and Pollen” should be selected during your submission.
